Thank you for the prayers. Prayers are always welcome, but I am a bit unclear on what you mean. Can you tell me more about what you meant by, “sorry to hear that”?

Corie! It just doesn’t get any better than this. Your words, your VOICE. My gosh, what a beautiful feeling I just experienced. Thank you for sharing. 🧡

Thank you. I may have gotten my MFA from NYU, but I got my street creds from being a street kid in NYC and being part of the original slam poetry renaissance back in the day...

I am so glad the poem resonated with you. I would love to hear more about you and your experience...

Much love to you and your beautiful self.

Sounds like a natural talent to me. ☺️

Your poem was one that I could feel and I was able to put myself in the characters shoes. I felt exactly what she was feeling and could easily compare it to my own life. 🧡

this one made me sit up straighter. i've been trying to remember to stand up straight. i think i've spent my whole life trying to hide my body, as if that would protect me. i'm trying to remember i don't need to hide anymore.

I am with you. Maybe if we remember together then it will give us more strength to stand more and more every day.

Corie, this is such a beautiful poem and so relatable for me! Our shoulders are so vital to our strength and posture.
