"I adjust my weight to find a new balance and accept myself for who I am and how I move remembering that each day is a new day to discover how to live. " -- from Three-legged Dog, by Corie Feiner
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your 'poem for every pose' series. They feel so lovely and somehow delicate and personal to me. Thank you for the beautiful writing.
Glad you went with your gut to make that revision. It makes a difference and yes, sometimes we have to revise something way more times than we expect. Including our yoga practice, as you say, "...adjust my weight to find a new balance..." Isn't that a type of revision, too? So profound, this poem.
“But now, I adjust my weight to find a new balance” … This, coupled with your intro, has made me think about this pose in a completely new way. What I *used to think* were flaws became my resources to grow stronger 🔥
Thank you, Corie! You are a blessing.
