Great poem for Uttanasana, Corie. I often talk to my toes from this position and they like to wiggle back 😉. Such a great pose for stretching out the back on the way down from the hips.
Thank you! The poems are written as part of my journey, but are to be shared with teaches and students as well. I am so glad you are going to share them!
So lovely, Corie. I love this pose for the spine lengthening effects. It also reminds me of the quote, "yoga is not about touching your toes, but what you learn on the way down." I feel like your experience with your kids is just that, and reflected in your poem as well.
Ah, that lovely detail of the head hanging there in standing forward bend! That's my favorite part and you describe the essence of it so beautifully. I would so love to do the workshop this Wednesday on the belly but I can't! Do you record these Zoom sessions? I'll definitely spread the word:)
Thank you!!!! 🤍

I love that you talk to your toes!
incredible. I felt it today- drip drip like a waterfall looking away from the world. thank you!
My pleasure. Your presence here gave me the sensation of my hair being a waterfall and being able to let it all go...
I love that you acknowledged the bravery it takes to dive! Every line is beautifully written. I cannot wait to share this with my students. 🙏
