I love that image of the 'leaf-mold gutter of my mind...' I really feel that my mind is that way sometimes. By the way, I didn't know that little legend about redwoods and I even grew up among those giant trees:). It's good to learn something new!
Thank you! Before I started doing head stands, it was much more cluttery in my mind. I have hugged redwoods. Have you ever done that? They are so big and loving.
I loved this one, Corie! Something about reading "newborn" at the end brought me back to "redwood" like the words just felt so suddenly aligned.
Also - I remember the first time I posted a photo of myself in headstand on IG it was accompanied by that Lewis Carroll line, "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast" :)
I love your comment on the alignment of redwood and newborn. They are the same syllabic count with a trochee meter (stress / unstress) so that may be part of it. Also your Lewis Carroll quote! I am going to have to restack it!
Thank you, Greg! It is like being on the other side of something. That being said, it can start even with crow or any inversion. Or anything that seems mot possible! Props to you for practicing headstands!
The photos with the poem totally worked, I loved it! Well done, conquering your fears and stories that weren't actually true. 🤘
"that weren't actually true" Exactly!!!!

Oh yes! Hugging redwoods is so much fun:)
oh the power of stories! I love your new headstand story - badass and powerful!
Thank you!
