The Sweet Song of My Stomach
two poems about the belly + the importance of connecting with your body during the season of eating, celebrations, darkness, & transition
As we have officially entered the time of year where many of us, at least in the northeast, have been cooking and eating and celebrating the last harvests before the long dark days of winter, I want to share two poems with you about the belly.
They were written during the sacred writing time I curate in my Bodylove Poetry Writing Workshops where we engage in authentic and poetic conversations with parts of our bodies and share our poems in an intimate and safe space.
I hope as we transition into the winter months and then the new year that you cultivate a love of the the darkness and find ways to celebrate the light… And also, to treat your body kindly, practice self-love and respect, let what needs to pass through you, pass though you, and claim the truths that lie deep within your core.
