A Poem for Peaceful Warriors

When I stand in Peaceful Warrior, I imagine this shape as my archetype for what is means to fight for peace.
To ground myself to the earth, to open my heart, to look towards the sky, to feel my aching body and my busy mind come together in harmony. To have equanimity as my shield. To let go, to grasp for more…. to dance.
I offer you this poem as a way to see this shape as more than a shape, but an invitation to practice possibility, healing, and hope.
Before reading this poem, I invite you to take a conscious breath and either step into or imagine yourself as a Peaceful Warrior.

Peaceful Warrior
Not here to fight
The Bringer of Light
Set these Beautiful Beings free
From the Ocean of Suffering that penetrates all 7 Seas
It’s clear that something is amiss
How long have you been divorced from your Inner Bliss?
My words are a sword piercing The Veil of Darkness
Its tip reaches to touch The Great Abyss
There’s a message hidden in the vibrations of my Hiss
Show them The Key
“It’s up to You, not Me”
Come Together
And
Let Them Be
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
