Sometimes taking an intentional breath — especially when situations feel hard— is exactly what we need to redirect us towards self love.
In this day and age when we say, “Be the change you want to see,” it may look more like completely embodying what it means to truly love ourselves with humility and integrity.
And just in case you are not convinced how important it is to practice self love —
When it seems big and lofty to me, I am sometimes reminded to take it down a thousand—
Today, during my yoga practice, I felt a new pain in my lower right back that was calling to me. In the past, I would have powered through and ignored it as if it was an inconvenience, but I have learned to listen and tend to my body with love and care.
