Hello Yogis, Poets, and Seekers of Inspiration!
Today I am especially moved to share some of the loveliest haikus with you. These short poems feel like the sound of a chirping bird, a cool summer breeze and a moment of reprieve.
I hope these give you a vacation — a seventeen syllable retreat — at a red light, at a stop sign, in between calls, in between moments, maybe even right here, right now.
If you are sitting down, I encourage you to take one — or even two— intentional breaths and gift yourself the wisdom and magic that is haiku.
And in the spirit of haiku, I am not adding any commentary so that you have space to think or be beautifully blank.
Also, I invite you to take a moment to revisit my yoga haiku poem, Cat-Cow Pose from my book, A Poem for Every Pose. You can read it below, but if you are called to read the entire post, you can read it here.
Did any of the poems land in your heart today? If so, which one?
