When I first started writing the poem, “Bow Pose,” I felt humbled because this is a pose that is still on the more challenging side for me. However, I know that each movement of my body and every aspect of life is an opportunity to honor where I am at and to move towards where I want to be.
When writing the poems for A Poem for Every Pose, I often struggled with giving myself permission to even work on this project. But I envisioned my future self guiding me to persevere and get out of my own way.
The poems were a gift to me and my job was to receive them, cultivate them, and pass them onto you.
I hope you find inspiration in this post and gift yourself with the time to ruminate about what you want to see in your life and.. and then, if you are called to do so, to take slow and steady steps in that direction.
